Read MoreFrequently Asked Questions About Dissolving Fillers with Ultrasound
Here you can find brief and clear answers to the most frequently asked questions about ultrasound-guided filler dissolving.
What is filler dissolution treatment?
Filler dissolution is a procedure that uses a special enzyme called hyaluronidase to break down hyaluronic acid-based fillers, allowing them to be absorbed by the body. This procedure is often performed to correct unwanted results that may occur after aesthetic filler applications.
What is ultrasound-assisted filler dissolution?
Ultrasound-assisted filler dissolution is a method that uses ultrasound to visualize the area where the filler is located and dissolve it in a targeted manner. This method allows for precise placement of the filler and a more controlled procedure.
Why is filler dissolution performed?
Filler dissolution is usually performed in the following situations:
Filler clumping
Filling landslide
Asymmetry
Excessive filler application
The filler was placed in the wrong area.
Complications of fillers
Why is the use of ultrasound important?
Ultrasound allows us to see exactly where the filler is located. This allows the procedure to be targeted and avoids unnecessary enzyme applications.
How long does the filler dissolution process take?
The procedure is usually completed in 10–20 minutes. Application time may vary depending on the area and amount of filler being injected.
